Jubilee NYC Intern Shares Work Reflection

Shu-Yu, a Jubilee NYC intern, is a professional flutist and studied her Masters of Music at New York University. She was touched by a Jubilee poster, particularly the line "Do you want to use your talent for God?" She then attended Jubilee Chorus' Christmas concert and was determined to work for Jubilee NYC.

Shu-Yu said, "I started to work as an intern for Jubilee NYC on March 29th. In the past two weeks, I learned how to contact other organizations and schedule the date of worship concerts through emails and phone calls. In addition, I learned to record and arrange the meeting minutes of fundraising. Also, I learned how to maintain the website of Jubilee NYC. I checked all editing news articles and replaced them on the website. I learned to use the system of website administration. Finally, I learned to join different social groups on the internet to find musicians for Jubilee NYC."

She added, "The most impressive thing to work here is that I do devotion and meditate God's word with my supervisor Pastor Aria, every day before our working. I feel God's love is in our office. Also, I think the prayer of union is the most important thing to let God work through us. May God's will be done in Jubilee NYC."

Jubilee hopes Shu-Yu's faith in Jesus Christ can be grown through the internship.
