Jubilee World Unites in Hosting Christmas Concerts Worldwide

Jubilee Christmas

Nov 16, 2016

Jubilee chapters around the world are entering full-scale preparations for their Christmas concerts. By hosting concerts regionally during the Christmas season, missionaries, musicians, and newcomers can all rejoice in the true reason for Christmas--the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jubilee Shenzhen first prepares a graceful concert for Thanksgiving. Chorus members have been gathering to pray and rehearse for this occasion. Members prayed in unity and prepared a wonderful choral program that expresses our gratitude to God for all He has done. The Thanksgiving concert in Shenzhen will allow Chinese members to experience the humility and thankfulness that Jesus has exhibited toward our Father in Heaven. Additionally, Jubilee China looks forward to Christmas by inviting members to meditate on the humble birth of Jesus. The life-changing act of kenosis can melt the heart of arrogance with God's great love.

Jubilee Australia will host a Christmas chamber music concert in the first half of December in Sydney. Main performances will be given by the beautiful piano trio. God has prepared a saxophonist as a special guest as well. Jubilee members will continue rehearsing, promoting the concert, and praying for God's glory to be revealed in this cheerful event.

Jubilee New York also anticipates two concerts in December, one for Jubilee Orchestra, one for Jubilee Chorus. Orchestral members have been recruited and have begun practicing for the Christmas program. Rehearsals are set in the first half of December, with the anticipated attendance of 23 musicians. Meanwhile, chorus members have been gathering weekly for 2-hour rehearsals. Around six songs will be selected to be performed at a community venue, open to the public.

Jubilee chapters in Korea, India, Latin America, Mongolia, and the Philippines will also continue to gather forces to host Christmas concerts for their respective regions. Please pray for the process. May all musicians be filled by the grace and love of God as they prepare. May God's music and the good news of Christ's birth be spread to every corner of the world.
