On Saturday, Jubilee Chamber Orchestra in New York City performed at a 5 p.m. concert at Immanuel Lutheran Church, touching hearts and offering a time of renewal for people who have gotten weary in the midst of busy daily lives through the beauty of God-given music.

Samuel, a member of Jubilee Orchestra in New York since 2010, hosted the concert audience and shared about the ministry and its vision. The concert began as he greeted and welcomed the audience.

The program consisted of a mixture of music from late baroque to early classical, featuring works of C.P.E. Bach, Sammartini, Durante and Haydn. Some pieces were solemn, while others were majestic.

The program also included Handel's aria "Thou Shalt Bring Them," performed by soloist Juli Borst, and a harpsichord performance by the orchestra's conductor Gwendolyn Toth.

After the final piece, C.P.E. Bach's Sinfonia No. 5 in B minor, the audience gave the orchestra an enthusiastic round of applause.

One member of the audience shared that there are many churches in New York City, but it is difficult to find one that can give glory to God through high-level classical music. The male audience member said he received a lot of fresh grace during the concert by Jubilee Chamber Orchestra.

Lastly he added that he had high expectations that the ministry could give glory to God in the future using talented musicians.

Another person in the audience shared how she felt "healing through music" and that she had a very peaceful time. "I received peace through the Jubilee Chamber Orchestra concert today.

She added, "I had a lot of difficulties coming up to the concert and I started to listen to the music with heavy heart. But mysteriously, my heart became peaceful during the time when music was performed. I realized that this is the comfort of God. So it was a precious time of receiving strength. Praising God using gifts from God and healing people - I thought isn't this the real praise that God wants?"

The orchestra members likewise were joyful and thankful for the opportunity to perform together with the objective of bringing healing and restoration to the weary souls of the city. They expressed much excitement looking forward to future events.

Jubilee New York sincerely thanked all volunteers who supported the event through their work, whether through ushering, photography, librarian functions, prayers and more.
