Jubilee Worship NYC Held a First Gathering

On Thursday, September 17, the Jubilee Worship Team had the first gathering of the season, which was for an audition and fellowship at Jubilee New York office.  The leader and singer of the team, Tamara Usatova, will select members for the worship band. It was an opportunity for them to introduce and get to know each other, and Jubilee NYC also introduced the vision to them.

After a brief introduction and sharing each individual's background, they set up the drums and keyboard in the office and tried a few songs together. Isaiah Pierce and David Changoshvili came to Jubilee for first time, and they both play drums. David Changoshvili is a professional engineer as well. Tamara Usatova and Bex De, who is also a singer, sang while Karen Chen played the keyboard with them. Their trial rehearsal went successfully. The two drummers were impressively capable of playing and following along with the singers. They followed each song and truly showed their skills.

Bex De said that it's different when she sings praising songs apart from just pop songs or other music. She feels so blessed and free when she sings praising songs to God.

Jubilee assistant manager, Sangmi Yoon also reported, "Even though it was their first time to meet and play together, their harmony was already tremendous. The room was filled with an atmosphere of energy and excitement." 

After they tried a few songs, they became excited and continued playing and singing for an hour.  At the end, Isaiah said, "Now we need guitar players. I can bring my friends to join this team." Jubilee NYC will have more people soon for the guitars position (electronic and the bass guitar) and more keyboard players.

With these beautifully gifted musicians, the ministry added, "We are excited for the next step and looking forward to seeing how God will lead his people and work through this group of people."
