Jubilee Church Holds Psalm Sunday Service Reflecting on Faith

On March 20, Jubilee Church held its Palm Sunday Service commemorating Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem.

The sermon reflected on this event with the title, "Unexpected Ending." To the disciples, they thought this would be the peak of Jesus' ministry where he would proclaim himself as Messiah and King publicly in Jerusalem.

Before, Jesus went everywhere by foot, but at the finishing line he asked for a donkey to ride. This is similar to how David arranged for his son Solomon to be anointed as his successor as the King of Israel. However, the end of this scene in the gospels is that Jesus was crucified powerlessly.

The preacher exhorted church members to hold on their faith even though sometimes we cannot feel the presence of God like the disciples, because the Lord will never be absent in our life.

During this Lenten season, Jubilee Church members are meditating on the sacrifice of Jesus and how he loved the world until the end through different messages.

Their faith is being renewed after every Sunday message which stresses different aspects of faith.

Church members are also preparing their hearts for a gracious Easter retreat which will be held in Atlanta. Following the service, members also discussed housing and transportation arrangements for the upcoming Easter retreat.
