Jubilee Chorus SF Initiates Project to Cooperate with Local Church Choirs

Jubilee Chorus in San Francisco starts cooperative project with local churches

May 05, 2015

Jubilee Chorus SF has initiated a new project intended to create a beautiful harmony by cooperating with choirs in local churches in San Francisco. Among the first connections of the project is the city's Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church.

The music director at Cornerstone and its choir members warmly welcomed the manager of Jubilee Chorus SF, Mihee Gwon. Being a gospel choir, the ministry makes use of various instruments such as piano, organ, drums, bass guitar, and percussion, praising the Lord joyfully with excitement and dancing and clapping of hands.

The music director of the church introduced the project during the meeting, explaining, "Jubilee Chorus will begin a united Christian movement beyond different music genres, and beyond different ethnicities and nationalities. We welcome this, and we want to have the vision to bring goodness to this land where there are many homeless people and people in suffering."

Commenting on the project, a deacon of the church said, "This is great. We also wish to do this kind of work. However, not everyone can do this easily. So one day when we go to heaven, we will praise God beyond ethnicity, language and appearance. We will pray for this vision with one mind and one thought, and we are open and we are ready to be united always at any time."

Jubilee Chorus representative Gwon added, "We deeply feel that God loves this land very much. The people in this land are suffering a lot emotionally and financially. As I look at them I feel the mourning heart of God."

She continued, "When I prayed I realized that God wants anyone to praise Him, whether they are poor or rich, whether they are weak or strong, and even though they have different images, God still wants to receive their praise with one heart. I wish we can give the sacrifice of praise to God by knowing the heart of God and by praying for this land and for this beautiful harmony."

Another Jubilee minister also shared, "We will continue to recruit choir members with different entities and be united, so that we can make one association. We give thanks to God. He gave us a new vision and dream, and we give glory and praise to God."
