Jubilee World Hosted Community Event, Visited by St. Louis Mayor

On Saturday, April 2, Mayor Francis G. Slay attended a cleanup event with 200 volunteers who spread around the 27th Ward to clean up the streets near St. Louis Jubilee World. Mayor Slay gave a speech to thank everyone who participated in this event, and took the time to individually speak to the volunteers. The event organization took place inside the Jubilee World front yard. Many community leaders planned accordingly for this event to come to life. The effort of these leaders and volunteers is making a positive impact on the lives of many citizens where the Jubilee World Headquarters are located. St. Louis City Alderman Chris and City Development Lead Mark provided all the necessary tools, transportation, portable toilets, food, drinks, and recreational tables for the volunteers. The cleanup event became a success.

God continues to use Jubilee World as a means to reach out and bring people together. During this event, Jubilee not only provided more than 30 volunteers, the space for the organization of this event, but also took the opportunity to give away brochures for the upcoming Pentecost retreat, held on May 14.  This brochure included information regarding musicians' recruitment, and the opportunity for the community to come to experience the renovation inside Jubilee's building. Jubilee World Headquarters is becoming well known by many leaders in the community, who are very pleased and thankful for this ministry to be located in this area. During this event, Jubilee had an opportunity to personally share Jubilee World's vision to Mayor Slay, and a St. Louis magazine, called Insight2incite Magazine.
